Prof. Olivier Buzzi is interested in the development of sensors and sophisticated experimental methods to allow investigations on fundamental aspects of soil behavior. One of his recent publication presents a new coating used to track how much irregular lumps of soils shrink as they dry. He is a Chief Investigator with the ARC Centre of Excellence for Geotechnical Science Engineering (CGSE) and the Editorial Board member of “Computers and Geotechnics” and “Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering”

在自然条件下，岩崩坡面撞击碎裂过程难以观测到。报告通过总结大量的现场调查、模型试验和数值模拟现象，阐述岩崩撞击碎裂过程，重点分析坠落高度、坡面坡度对其冲击力、速度、裂纹扩展和碎裂块体分布特征的影响，分享岩崩理论研究与模型试验研究的经验与心得。
