Francois Cauneau教授简介:

Prof. François Cauneau is the Deputy Director of Mines ParisTech Sophia Antipolis, the largest Resarch site of Ecole des Mines de Paris Mines ParisTech with 400 personals, 5 Research Centers and 5 International Master formations. He also teaches in fluid dynamics, wind turbines aerodynamics and engines technology at Mines ParisTech.

As a Senior Scientist in the Center for Energy and Process in the same school, he has developed since 1992 several advanced methods in the domain of radar remote sensing for Geophysical flows studies in Meteorology and Oceanography. He is specialised in visualisation techniques and modelling of geophysical and industrial flows, with a special emphasis on decision support systems regarding risk and environmental problems, and has published more than 80 papers in scientific journals and conferences. He has leaded task forces in several international projects for UNEP, IMO and EU, and has participated to the design of the first Numerical Information Systems integrating spatial oceanographic observations for environmental plans. He is working today on adapting the numerical modelling tools of Fluid Mechanics for project management integrating Renewable Energies.

In 2018, he is author, or co-author of 14 books, scientific or academic, 83 reviewed papers, with 16 invited conferences in international symposiums and 5 invited conferences for state of the art. He has been member of 19 scientific working groups, and participated to 7 observation campaigns, national or internationals, member of scientific and/or organizing committee for 11 international conferences with 2 presidences. He is member of 5 reviewing panels for scientific journals, president, reviewer or member of 6 PhD Thesis jurys, and has participated to 10 international summer schools, with 4 as co-organiser and 1 as president. In the domain of technology transfer, he participated to 28 industrial projects, among 5 as coordinator.
